Project Overview

Neomechanica is a unique 1/1 NFT collection that intersects art, technology, and social impact. Each piece in the collection, designed on Procreate and minted on Ethereum and Polygon blockchains, represents a vision of the future and society's interaction with innovation. This project served as a platform for learning about Web3, Blockchain, and advanced JavaScript GSAP, culminating in the creation of a dedicated website from scratch.

Objective

The primary goal was to explore and understand Web3 and blockchain technology, focusing on human-machine interaction. The project also aimed to support learning disabilities (LD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) organisations through charitable contributions.

- Minting NFTs on platforms like OpenSea and Foundation.

- Learning Curve: Venturing into new technologies such as blockchain and Web3 presented a steep learning curve. Overcame this
by networking with artists in the community and engaging with Web3 trends.
- Technical Implementation: Developing the site from scratch required advanced technical skills. Addressed this by deepening knowledge in JavaScript and GSAP.

Community Engagement and Feedback

It was nice engaging with the NFT and digital art community through platforms like OpenSea, Foundation and X. I met many creative folks with incredible talent and ideas. I was also able to collect feedback about my project and use the information to make improvements.

Scripting and Technical Details

I always wanted to learn more about GSAP and this was a great opportunity for me to dig into this JavaScript library and having some fun mocking up the site using Figma. Also I learned a lot about Blockchain technology and the process behind minting NFTs.
